Product Description

  • Pinus can be shrubs or large, evergreen trees, some species with attractive bark, developing an irregular outline with age and bearing long needle-like leaves in bundles of 2, 3 or 5; conspicuous cones may fall or remain on the tree for years
  • P. densiflora Pendula ‘Pendula’ is a weeping form that may be grown in several different ways including (1) spreading along the ground without support as a ground cover, (2) draped over a wall with branches cascading downward or (3) grafted to a standard with branches weeping downward from the point of the graft or staked with branches weeping. Mature shape and height depend upon how plant is grown. Reddish-brown, flaky bark in the upper crown, grey and fissured near the base. Stiff, bright green needles, about 10cm long, are borne in pairs and the cones are yellow-brown, around 4cm long
