Camellia oleifera Matteini ® was selected more than twenty years ago by Tranquillo Matteini, the founder of the nursery, and his son in law Tiziano.
It ‘s a sterile variety thus making it more robust and capable of an abundant vegetation 0f leaves and flowers, the latter lasting for a longer time.
The bark has got an intense cinnamon colour which creates an elegant contrast with the brilliant green foliage and the light green of the younger leaves. Flowers are white and deeply fragrant from Novembre through January which stand out against the colour of the bark and the branches.
